1 whole turkey
3 tsp minced garlic
1 stick butter, sliced
1 onion, peeled and quartered
3 stalks celery, roughly chopped
3 carrots, roughly chopped
3 tsp cooking oil
3 tsp Kitchen Bouquet
Salt & Pepper

1. Note: For Gravy to go along with the turkey, see the Turkey Gravy recipe.
2. Prehaeat the oven to 325 degrees.
3. Remove giblets from turkey. Rinse turkey inside and out and pat dry.
4. Carefully lift skin over breasts, thighs and drumsticks and insert butter and 2 tsp of minced garlic.
5. Rub outside of turkey with oil, then with Kitchen Bouquet. Season inside and outside of turkey with salt and pepper. Place onions, celery and the remaining 1 tsp minced garlic in the cavity. Sprinkle paprika on the outside of the turkey.
6. Place turkey, breast side up, in a roasting pan. Tie or wire legs together. Tent with foil and bake for about 20 minutes per pound. Meat thermometer should read 180°F when inserted into the thickest portion of the breast away from the bone. Remove foil during last 30 minutes of cooking, baste with pan juices and brown skin.
7. Roast the turkey about 3 hours, or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh registers 165 degrees F.
8. Remove the turkey when done and allow to sit for 20 minutes before slicing.
